About Us
Who are we?
Miami Business Consulting is a dynamic student organization at Miami University Farmer School of Business. We are dedicated to providing a platform for sharing club content, recruiting new members, and offering exclusive resources through a secure login feature. What sets us apart is our focus on hands-on consulting experience, engaging our members in various real-world activities to enhance their skills and knowledge in the business consulting field.
About our Sponsor

We are proud to be sponsored by Ernst & Young (EY), a global leader in consulting and professional services. MBC is the only collegiate organization in the country to hold an official sponsorship from EY—an honor that reflects the caliber of our work and the strength of our partnership.
EY is renowned for delivering innovative, customized consulting solutions that help organizations navigate complex challenges, implement transformative strategies, and achieve sustainable growth. Their expertise spans strategy development, operational excellence, technology integration, and digital innovation, enabling clients across industries to unlock their full potential.
Our partnership with EY goes far beyond name recognition. It includes hands-on support and meaningful collaboration through:
-
Mentorship from EY consultants to guide our project teams and help members develop practical consulting skills
-
Speaker events and workshops led by EY professionals on topics ranging from digital transformation to client relationship management
-
Networking opportunities with EY recruiters and consultants to help our members explore career pathways
-
Real-world consulting engagements, including past projects directly executed for EY
Together, MBC and EY are shaping the next generation of consultants—empowering students to create real, data-driven solutions while gaining exposure to the world of professional consulting.

Real Work
Our project teams are composed of 5–10 students and are led by experienced Project Managers. Each team is responsible for executing a full consulting engagement from kickoff to final presentation. Weekly work often includes competitive research, financial modeling, market analysis, and data collection--tailored to the specific needs of each client.
Past projects have explored global expansion strategies, market entry plans for startup luxury brands, and data-driven recommendations for service area growth. In addition to client-facing work, members participate in regular professional development sessions, case interview prep, and speaker events—building both the technical and interpersonal skills essential for success in consulting.
Real Clients
We work directly with startups, nonprofits, and Fortune 500 companies to provide tailored consulting solutions. Our teams have tackled complex business problems such as evaluating international expansion opportunities, identifying high-potential markets for an emerging luxury car brand, and recommending data-driven service expansion strategies based on client needs.

Real Progress
MBC partners with companies and campus organizations to deliver actionable solutions, while also fostering teamwork and leadership among its members. Through project-based learning and client interactions, students gain exposure to professional environments, refine their problem-solving abilities, and enhance their communication and presentation skills.
